Description: To prepare for Dr. Lydia Soifer's visit to Colorado at the 34th annual ALTA conference, we are diving into Chapter 3 of Multisensory Teaching of Basic Language Skills, Oral Language Development and its Relationship to Literacy. Participants will read the new edition, participate in a rich discussion, and share suggestions for developing robust oral language in classrooms and diverse academic settings. Particular focus will be put on the additions and revisions in the new 4th edition. Handouts will include key terms, research findings, and further resources to support the objectives in the chapter.
